A Paradigm Shift at NTC: CSSBs That Think 'Inside the Box'

Fort Carson's 68th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB) completed a National Training Center (NTC) rotation at Fort Irwin, California, in June 2009 in support of the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT), 1 st Infantry Division. The 4th IBCT's NTC rotation was focused on Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), and although the 68th CSSB was deploying to Afghanistan later in the year, it followed the OIF scenario without any problems.
