MILEX STRIVES TO BECOME A REGIONAL LEADER DEFENSE EXHIBITIONS IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE

The first one took place in May 2001 in Minsk (Milex 2001). Taking part in it were around 80 exhibitors from the CIS, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The Milex 2003 was attended by over 100 companies, design offices, research institutes, trade firms and organizations from more than 10 countries, including Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Armenia, Poland and Slovakia. The subject matter of the exhibition included upgrade and repair of arms and military equipment (AME), electro-optic equipment, information protection systems, troop support gear, flight and navigation equipment and automatic control systems, small arms and munitions, special purpose technical, engineering and transportation hardware. Nineteen Russian companies came up at the exhibition with a single exposition under the auspices of the Rosoboronexport state-run arms export agency.
