The static analysis of frames made of thin-walled members has been investigated in numerous papers, for detailed bibliography the monograph can be recommended. The authors of the paper under consideration applied the same idea as authors of the monograph and papers, but they extended the static analysis to the frames assembly of thin-walled members with arbitrary open cross-section. Similarly as in the stiffness matrix of a node is determined and applied, together with the well-known solution of the differential equation of torsion of the thin-walled beam, in a static analysis of the frame performed by the displacement method. Two numerical examples dealing with two- and three-dimensional frames are presented and moreover a comparison with simplified solutions based upon assumption of perfectly rigid nodes (no distribution of bimoments in nodes) is shown, as well.
