For the design of the Voest pastoral centre many different mo-tifs ware available: it is about spirituality in the world of work, about nature and industry, about God and, naturally, about resources. The rich variety of symbols and metaphors was refined down by the architects using a technically-derived formal idiom employed with great clarity. Numerous additional functions give the ensemble a considerable added value.%Viele verschiedene Motive standen beim Entwurf der voestalpi-ne-Seelsorgestelle zur Verfügung: Es geht um Spiritualität in der Arbeitswelt, um Natur und Industrie, um Gott und um natürliche Ressourcen. Die Vielfalt der Symbole und Metaphern wurde von den Architekten in einer technoiden Formensprache reduziert und in einen Schlackehügel gegraben. Zahlreiche Zusatzfunktionen verleihen dem Ensemble viel Mehrwert.
