VIENNA DESIGN WEEK

The well-known Vienna design festival takes place this year for the eighth time between 26 September and 5 October 2014. The guest country Hungary is represented by the collective Kulturgorilla from Budapest, for example. City work projects explore Vienna's 3rd District, and for the Passionswege (passion paths) manufacturers and handcraft businesses in the 1st and 3rd Districts collaborate with international designers. The festival headquarters that features a pop-up cafe, exhibitions, laboratories and celebrations makes the Palais Schwarzenberg accessible to the general public before it is adapted to serve as a casino.
