Monaco is a kind of island, a place of constant coming and going. The Munchkins Kinderclub was conceived to offer parents and children a tailor-made "isle of the blessed". There is a certain high-gloss aspect to childhood in Monaco childhood, as is illustrated by the perfectly styled models in the children's magazines that lie around in the Munchkins Club. The idea is that for a few hours a day the children are attentively looked after by teachers in the new club. The emphasis is on learning by playing; the parents can relax meanwhile in the cafe and lounge area.
