The Museum of San Telmo, in its present condition, represents the result of a long process of successive modifications which has partially altered its physical and functional character over the years. Its location on the fringe where the urban structure meets the topography of Monte Urgull is a reflection, on the other hand, of an urban problem very characteristic of San Sebastian: the solution of a division never completely solved between natural and artificial landscape.%サン・テルモの博物館の現状は、長期にわたり度重なる改築が行なわれた結果として、その一部はかたちも機能的な特徴も年月とともに変わり果てた姿となっている。その一方で都市の構造がウルグル山の地形と接する端部に面するというその位置は、自然景観と人工の景観との区分が完全には解決できていないという、サン・セバスチャンを象徴する都市の問題をそのまま反映している。
