摘要

The mosque is a donation from the Sakir family in the name of their parents. It is built within the Karacaahmet Cemetry-one of the oldest and biggest cemeteries in Istanbul. The architectural project was submitted by Husrev Tayla, but the Sakir family put Zeynep Fadillioglu in charge and major changes were done to the architecture in order to make sure the exterior and the interior were in sync and reflect this century and at the same time keep the traditions, without of course disrespecting the religion and its rules.
