Locals and Tourists

Eric Fischer's Locals and Tourists series charts the geotagged locations of photos drawn from Flickr and Picasa search APIs. The 15-by-15-mile maps attempt to further distinguish the photos taken by locals (blue) from those of tourists' (red). The maps reveal contrasting areas of interest within each city, and also indicate a great range of formations in cities around the globe, reinforced by their varied urban layouts.
