National President's reply

In the last Architecture Bulletin, NSW Chapter President Deborah Dearing wrote a lengthy article under the banner 'National/state inequalities', primarily looking at issues relating to organisational change and budget allocations.These issues were also extensively debated at our recent July National Council meeting in Brisbane. In arguing her case for reform, Deborah's article cast what I think is an unfairly pessimistic light on the current operations of the RAIA. Also, in many instances I believe her comments were not based on a fair representation of the facts regarding what is actually happening within our organisation.
