Not without controversy, City of Sydney's bicycle lane network is proving popular with the people, according to its recent figures. Transport congestion is the curse of modern growing cities. Addressing this congestion, City of Sydney began building its network of safe bicycle routes some years ago under Lord Mayor Clover Moore. The goal is connectivity and choice - taking people where they want to go - and the network is slowly expanding through the city's villages and fringe precincts into some of its major destinations.
