Meet our government architects

Every state in Australia now has a government architect, though each office has a different model of operation and reporting. On the eve of his retirement as NSW Government Architect, Peter Mould asked all the GA's around Australia to discuss the process, projects and objectives of their offices. We begin with the New South Wales Government Architect, the longest standing office, established in 1816. When I took office in 2006 there were four government architects (GAs) in Australia: New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia and Victoria).
