Construction of the Facility for Low Energy Experiments in Buildings (FLEXLAB) at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in Berkeley, Calif., will be substantially complete this April. Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, the $15.9-million facility features seven testbeds in which researchers, manufacturers, and owners can test individual building products or whole-building environments.
