When the world was resource rich and population poor and I was a young architect starting out, the architectural possibilities seemed infinite...as long as one could find the right client!rnThe houses of heroes-there were no heroines-such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Walter Burley Griffin, Desbrowe Annear, Peter Mclntyre and the 'Age Small Homes'plans drew me to architecture, but by graduation a whole world of other influences led to stints in the drawing offices of both the NSW Government Architect (Schools Section) and Alistair Knox amongst the eucalypts and mud bricks of Eltham.
