The Court of Appeals of Iowa held that valuations relying on comparable sales that required substantial adjustments were insufficient to show overassessment.rnAG Partners, LLC (AG) leases two grain elevator facilities in Buena Vista County and is responsible for the property taxes pursuant to the lease terms. In 2005, the county assessor valued the Albert City facility at $6,678,984 and the Alta facility at $2,318,130. After the county board of review (BOR) denied its protest, AG challenged the assessments in the district court, alleging overassessments of $595,740 and $1,660,040, respectively.
