摘要

An improved cellular automaton model for describing the evolution of solidification morphology of a pure substance is presented. The mesh-induced anisotropy was investigated for the traditional capture rules such as Von Neumann’s and Moore’s capture rules. A random zigzag capture rule was developed, which can greatly reduce the mesh-induced anisotropy. The method for the calculation of solid/liquid (SL) interface curvature was also improved by using a bilinear interpolation method, which increased the accuracy of the calculation of the SL interface curvature. Based on these improvements, the effect of interfacial energy anisotropy on the dendritic growth behavior was analyzed.
