PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate simulation of a life phenomenon being a complicated phenomenon.SOLUTION: A modeling device of a life phenomenon of the invention uses a nonsynchronous cellular automaton. In particular, based on states of respective cells 110, 110 of the synchronous cellular automaton, elements forming the life phenomenon are expressed. For example, when copying of a DNA (double strand 210, 210) in a biosynthetic step of a protein is simulated, based on the states of the respective cells 110, 110, nucleotides 200, 200, enzymes and the like are expressed. Such a nonsynchronous cellular automaton can be achieved by a personal computer, for example. Namely, by a relatively small-scale system such as a personal computer, simulation of the life phenomenon being a complicated phenomenon can be achieved.
