Effect of plastic properties of material on stability and fracture of the plate with the edge crack

摘要

The results of experimental study of the local stability loss and the fracture of plates from various materials with the edge crack under tension were presented. The influence of the materials plastic properties on their stability and fracture characteristics was estimated. It was shown that for the plates with more elastic characteristics the influence of bucking on the residual strength was more essential.
