摘要

New phosphorescent oxygen-sensitive materials based onnnanostructured high density polyethylene and polypropy-nlene films are described. The polymer substrates undergontreatment by a solvent crazing process to create a well-ndeveloped network of controlled, nanometer-size pores.nIndicator dye molecules are then embedded by physicalnentrapment in such nanostructures which subsequentlyncan be healed. Such sensors demonstrate improvednworking characteristics and allow simple, cost-efficientnproduction and disposable use. They are well suited fornlarge-scale applications such as nondestructive control ofnresidual oxygen and “smart” packaging.
