JSM 2005 Highlights and Call for Papers JSM 2006

We have an exciting program lined up for the JSM 2005. There are many invited sessions that will be of interest to Section members, but we would like to call your attention to three of them. First is a session on visualization methods in homeland security applications, which was organized with the Section on Statistical Graphics. We also have an invited panel that will discuss national security issues in the design and analysis of social network studies. This panel has some very distinguished participants, including Steven Thompson, Stephen Feinberg, David Banks, and Kathleen Carley. Finally, Section members might want to attend a session that describes various national systems for biosurveillance, e.g., BioSense.
