Don't be afraid to innovate. Don't be afraid to change. Don't be afraid to be unconventional. That's the philosophy Don Adams lived during his 30 years with the U.S. Census Bureau. Adams spent 16 of those years at what is now the National Processing Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana, serving as director from 1976 to 1985. He returned to Suitland, Maryland, headquarters to become chief of the Data User Services Division, then chief of the Foreign Trade Division.
