JSM 2008: A Report from the Section

The 2008 Joint Statistical Meetings are on the horizon, coming up August 3-7 in Denver, Colorado. Continuing Education classes start Saturday, August 2. The Biopharmaceutical Section is (co)sponsoring four invited, 24 topic-contributed, and 17 contributed sessions this year. The sessions cover a variety of topics, from the discovery to the late phase of drug and device development. The section also is sponsoring 16 roundtables with lunch and three Continuing Education classes on relevant topics in drug development. Significant efforts have been made to distribute die large number of activities across the five days, including Sunday afternoon and Thursday morning.
