ASA Board Endorses Recommendations for Graduate Programs in Statistics

On April 4, 2009, the ASA Board of Directors endorsed a set of recommendations regarding the development of graduate programs in statistics education, the offering of statistics education graduate courses, and the support of faculty in statistics education positions. The recommendations are part of a report from an invitational workshop, funded by an ASA Member Initiative grant. The workshop was held in October 2008 at the ASA headquarters (see Amstat News, December 2008).
