The Biometrics Section will sponsor four short courses during JSM 2012 in San Diego, California. The first, Statistical Analysis with Missing Data, will be taught by Roderick Little and Trivellore Raghunathan and focus on methods for the statistical analysis of data sets with missing values. Smoothing Splines: Methods and Applications will be taught by Yuedong Wang and concentrate on a particular class of modern nonparametric regression methods called spline smoothing for estimating functions of one and several variables.
