摘要

In less than a year, drinking water systems will be interacting with their customers in a way they may never have before. By Oct. 19, 1999, systems must deliver their first annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) outlining the quality of the water they deliver to their customers. Required by the 1996 amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act, these reports offer customers important information about the quality of their drinking water. Because the report is new and systems will be unfamiliar with it, AWWA and the National Rural Water Association (NRWA) have developed templates that systems can use to complete their CCRs. These computer-based report-writing aids will offer examples and help systems present their data.
