'First Draw' on Lead and Copper Rule Revisions

After several years of intense review, the us environmental protection agency (usepa) has adopted revisions to the lead and copper rule (lcr; usepa, 2007). Review of the LCR was initiated as a result of the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (WASA) exceeding the lead action level in 2002. The revisions are the first short-term actions to address issues the agency identified as part of potentially more comprehensive revisions to the rule.
