Water Sector Security and Preparedness: A Sustainable, All-hazards Approach

According to AWWA's 2006 State of the Industry Report, deteriorating infrastructure, regulatory pressures, a retiring workforce, and difficulty attracting talented new workers are some of the top issues facing utility managers nationwide. For the first time since the terrorist events of September 11, 2001, water security has dropped off the list of the top five critical issues facing water utility decision-makers.
