Progress Report of Epidemiologic Appraisal of Reported Malaria in the United States During 1949 and 1950

A description of the initiation of the program of epidemiologic appraisal of malaria in the United States in 1947 has been presented elsewhere (Quinby 1950). At the 1950 meeting of the National Malaria Society, the results of appraisals of reported malaria for 1949 and preliminary data for the first nine months of 1950 were presented. Since then, data for 1950 cases appraised through March 1951 have been assembled and analyzed for this paper.
