A crossover Phazer?That's a no brainer!

We were not surprised at all to see a new 'crossover-focused' Phazer from Yamaha, BUT we were surprised it took Yamaha this long to announce this crossover/boondocking machine. In the case of the Phazer, Yamaha kept its best intro for last. The Phazer is now seven model years old and, well, some say the die-cast and chromoly FX chassis is past its prime, but the new stretched XTX crossover version intro has breathed new life into this little wild stallion. First, it is more stable in the bumps. The long 144-inch track keeps the front end down and more straight in the bumps. One of the toughest things we found with the standard length Phazer was that it wanted to jump all over the place even in straight small stutter bumps. The new XTX doesn't do that nearly as much. This is not the Phazer Mountain and the XTX comes with the standard trail width front end and calibration. Yamaha's dual keel Tuner skis are on this sled, which allow you to mix and match various carbide lengths to 'tune-in' your trail handling.
