Adjusting the QS3 is already nearly effortless, but you still have to get off your sled to make a change to the vast majority of shocks on any snowmobile. FOX is hoping to change that when the 2017 sleds start rolling off the line with an electronically adjustable shock package. For now, FOX is calling its latest suspension innovation the R.A.D. (Racing Applications Development) shock system. Again, this is not available to consumers yet. BUT, it currently consists of a version of the QS3 shocks being controlled through a servo motor that runs off a switch on the handlebars. Early prototypes of the setup are powered from the sled's existing electrical system, and FOX engineers have indicated that initial tests have not revealed any issues with that. A battery is not necessary.
