We were always perplexed by the market positioning of the Backcountry; who was the target buyer? Now that we've had a full season to demo it, we know! But initally, we just didn't see room for this sled in Ski-Doo's lineup. Why was there a Freeride 137 and the Backcountry X? Weren't these basically the same sled? We could understand the standard Backcountry because it had downgraded shocks and fewer rough-trail focused options.
