The British Columbia Fabricare Association (BCFA) recently held a training session at Wagner's European Fabricare in Vancouver to learn how to improve their textile-care businesses. Everett Childers, industry consultant and American Drycleaner columnist, devoted four hours to helping BCFA members find out about the latest solvent choices, equipment, procedures and customer-relations strategies to help add profits and increase efficiency. Alan Phillips, zeroWaste president, then answered questions about environmental compliance and displayed the company's wastewater evaporators. FujiStar's Tony Haddad appeared to discuss the company's latest shirt equipment, and Sharon Carras, of Co-quitlam, B.C.-based distributor Neifer Installations, also appeared to share her expertise.
