Reactive metallic nanoparticles have many applications in energy and fuels. While these systems are potentially useful their high reactivity makes them unstable under normal atmospheric conditions. As such, their synthesis and stabilization are important and challenging issues1-3. Aluminum is a popular metal in this regard due to its high energy density, low cost, and ready availability.
