In this study, we proposed a new solid-state Li-Srnelectrochemical reaction mechanism through sulfur nanoconfinement.rnThe solid-state Li-S reaction demonstrates drasticallyrndifferent electrochemical behaviors from the conventional liquidrnphase Li-S reactions with superior cycle stability and coulombicrnefficiency. This new mechanism may lead to new strategies for Li-Srnbattery materials design and synthesis.
