The author of the comment to our recent paper has made some important pointsw, which respectfully deserve our re- sponse. We thank him for his contributions and interest, which not only have been of help, but also have restimulated our efforts. We agree that unequivocal proof of our mesostructural model for C-S-H gels has not been given. However, we believe that the current evidence is quite supportive of this model.
