Clay MACT Rule for Ceramics Industry Moves Forward

As chair of the LPAC Clay MACT (maximum achievable control technology) Task Force, I have spent time over the past year informing ACerS members about EPA's development of an MACT standard for the clay industry and its potential impact on the ceramics industry. While some internal issues at EPA have caused this issue to move slowly forward, the bottom line is that EPA continues to review information collection requests (ICRs) with the goal of developing an MACT standard for the ceramics industry.
