Fabrication of gunshot competition and training clay targets used in ceramics industry consists of hammer milling and wetting of clay, for extrusion, pressing and baking

Fabrication of gunshot competition and training clay targets comprises 900 rpm hammer mill production of clay powder. Treatment with 16 per cent by weight of water in a 200 rpm kneader is followed by extrusion at 3 atmospheres giving a 0.5 cm thick sheet free of occluded ore. In an EMBODIMENT of the method, pressing of the targets at 5 kg per cm squared and drying at 120 degreesC for 12 hours is followed by baking at 800 degreesC for 1 hour.
