摘要

A better understanding of the microscale mechanisms of polymer-plasticized extrudate flow is required to develop ceramic extrusion technology. Experimental methods for quantifying plastic properties of extrudates under conditions of shear and extentional flow are needed.rnCeramic extrusion depends on a feed material capable of plastic flow for its success. In contrast to other forming methods—such as powder pressing and slip casting—extrusion is poorly understood as a science. The plastic ceramic body is complex in structure, and the underlying mechanisms for plastic flow are complex.
