One of the worst things you can do when pricing is to give the customer the impression that you are pulling figures out of the air. Have your prices in writing, so that you can refer to them while costing the design. I recommend creating categories that group together techniques that require similar amounts of time. This provides both clarity and flexibility and helps put your client at ease.
