Lauren Brooks: I came up with the name Little Waisted, and it was supposed to be a cocktail company. While we were waiting for the government’s approval for TTB (The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau) on our liquor formulas, we started to make glittery sugars for cocktail rimmers. But from there, I had people starting to come to me from the baking industry asking me if I could do a glittery sugar for baking. And I was like, “Sure, we can do that!” Our first order right out of the gate was for Safeway.
