The sparkle tier trend for wedding and celebration cakes isn’t going anywhere soon, so we wanted to skill up and perfect our application with one of our favorite wedding-cake designers. Here Aimee showcases a sparkle tier in a simple two-tier cake that is on trend for your boho brides. 1. Cover your cakes. The smaller top tier should be covered in ivory, then the smaller bottom tier in a rich mustard color. To achieve this color, I used 1 part lemon yellow gel color and 3 parts caramel gel color. 2. Using a flat brush, carefully cover the sides of the mustard cake in a thin layer of either piping gel or edible glue.
