CAKER TO Cover Star!

Before I was the editor of this wonderful magazine, I was a contributor and a HUGE fan! I remember the very first time that I saw one of my cakes featured in the showcase: my stomach flipped, and I immediately ran to share the news with my family and friends. That very first feature paved the way for many more features, and the beginning of a wonderful relationship with owner Grace McNamara, and then-editor Susan Shultz, that eventually led to my role today. During that journey came a pivotal moment in my career, when in January 2016, my cake, a cake I had made specifically for ACD, graced the cover of the Wedding Trend issue. It was a moment I will never forget, and an accomplishment that stays with me to this day. So, as we were planning our editorial calendar for 2Ol8, and we settled on a Wedding Trend issue theme, I knew immediately that I wanted to give that same "cover-star moment" to another cake artist.
