Winter Bear

1. Using some brown fondant, model the soles of the boots as shown. With a sharp knife, add some indentations for the treads of the boots. 2. With the treads facing down, insert two sharp bamboo skewers into the polystyrene dummy and impale the soles. 3. Using pink fondant, shape the bear's boots and attach them to the soles using clear alcohol or edible glue. 4. Using brown fondant, create two tapered sausage shapes for the legs and thread them over the exposed skewers as shown. 5. With the small nail scissors, snip into the fondant in an upward motion to create the fur. Flip the scissors into a horizontal position and continue to snip the fondant to make the fur look plush. 6. Roll a thin rope of white fondant and attach to the top of the boots with edible glue to create the fur trim. Using the same technique as for the bear's body, snip the trim to create the furry effect.
