1. Print or draw a wreath template that's 4 inches by 3 inches and a robin that fits within a 2-inch by 2-inch square. Cut templates out. 2. Secure wreath template to the front of the cake using straight pins. 3. Using a pencil, lightly draw around the templates to provide a guide for painting. 4. Repeat the above steps but for the robin. 1. Prepare the palette. Add a small amount of each gel color to the palette and then add a few drops of alcohol, but don't mix. Let sit for a few minutes. 2. Using a soft brush, add a light red wash for the robin's breast. 3. Add light brown for the back and bottom. 4. Add darker brown to define the robin's back, wings, and tail as shown. 5. To give the robin some definition, pick up some of the concentrated gel and go back over the darker brown areas.
