More than 300 examples,or around 40% of total production, of the An-12 freighjter(code- named 'Cub' by NATO) arG thought to remain active, despite the fleet nearing an average age of One of the greatest concentrations of the type can still be found at Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (Airways, April 2007, April 2004, August 2001 & November 1998), where this selection was recently photographed by Steve Kinder.
