The Convair 580 (Airways, October 2008, May 2006 & May 2005) is a true product of the period during which it was designed; a real muscle machine in the tradition of the Dodge Charger, Ford Mustang, and Chevrolet Camaro built by Detroit's 'Big Three' auto-makers at the time. Like those testosterone-inducing automobiles, the 'Five-Eighty' embodies the philosophy that there is no such thing as too much power, even if this does not sit comfortably in today's environmentally sensitive era.
