Work began on a £10 million essential maintenance project to upgrade the durability and performance of the runway at London Southend Airport (IATA: SEN) on January 7.The airport said the majority of the works are being undertaken at night as the runway is closed to all aircraft between 23:30 and 06:30. The task is expected to take approximately three months.
