Vanderlande Industries has won a contract to deliver a baggage handling system for the Terminal 3 extension to be constructed at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Indonesia. The winning consortium for the design and build of the extension of Terminal 3 is led by PT Wijaya Karya and consists of several engineering and construction companies, among which is Vanderlande's contract partner Jaya Teknik. The new project represents Vanderlande's fourth automated baggage handling system development in Indonesia, making it the country's leading supplier. In 2011 Vanderlande won its first project in Indonesia at Raja Haji Fisabililah International Airport in Tanjung, Bintan. The second project was a new baggage handling system for Sepinggan International Airport in Balikpapan (Kalimantan/Borneo).
