Dufry celebrates Brazil awards

Dufry has signed long-term contracts in Sao Paulo, Brasilia and Natal to operate duty free and duty paid spaces. The ten-year contract means the concessions operator, in partnership with industrial group Brasif, will run 19,707sqm of retail space at the airports once expansions at the facilities are complete. A statement said the contracts "will allow Dufry to substantially strengthen travel retail in Brazil and to capture the true potential of the Brazilian airport retail business.". At Sao Paulo's Guarulhos Airport, Dufry will add 6,860sqm of concessions, with two walk-through travel retail stores in arrivals and departures. In addition, it plans to introduce stand-alone branded boutiques for the first time in Brazil. In total, 15 shops are anticipated, including a 204sqm Hudson store.
