AMELIA EARHART Hangar Museum Opens

The Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum began welcoming visitors this year and will continue to grow in the coming months. The centerpiece of the museum is Muriel, the last remaining Lockheed Electra 10-E. Named after Amelia's sister, this airplane is identical to the Electra that Amelia Earhart flew and disappeared with during her famous world flight in 1937. This fully restored Electra 10-E was sold to the Atchison Amelia Earhart Foundation and shipped to Atchison, Kansas, where she will continue to inspire dreams of adventure and achievement as an enduring testament to future pilots.
